Advancing Advocacy Through Collaboration and Lived Experience
In February, the Clinician Network General Meeting focused on advocacy across systemic, organisational and individual levels, highlighting how clinicians are driving meaningful change in intellectual disability health across Australia.
The session included discussion on The Centre's advocacy priorities, reflections on progress so far, and perspectives on future collective action. We also heard valuable lived experience insights from family advocates and a disability liaison officer, exploring pathways to better support self-advocacy for people with intellectual disability and their families.
The National Clinician Network now includes over 350 members nationwide, fostering collaboration, shared learning and peer support.
