It makes sure the Centre is doing the best work for people with intellectual disability.

Learn and Lead
Our Learn and Lead Group is a group of 10 people with an intellectual disability.
This group gives advice to the Centre.

Management Committee
The Management Committee is a group of people who are leaders at the Centre.
Each consortium member organisation has at least 1 person on the Management Committee.

First Nations Advisory Committee
The First Nations Advisory Committee (FNAC) is a group of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are passionate about healthcare for people with intellectual disability.

A consortium of organisations contributes to the key activities of the Centre.
Our work is also supported by a broader network of partner and collaborating organisations.
National Advisory Committee
The National Advisory Committee (NAC) is a group of experts in health and intellectual disability from all over Australia.
The NAC gives the Centre advice about:
- The best ways to improve the healthcare system for people with intellectual disability in Australia
- Figuring out what work the Centre might need to do in the future, so that people with intellectual disability can get good quality healthcare in Australia.
International Advisory Committee
The International Advisory Committee (IAC) is a group of experts in health and intellectual disability from around the world.
The IAC helps the Centre to
- use international standards and research to shape our work and policies
- share the Centre’s ideas and work with other people around the world
- think about the best way to work with people from different cultures and countries
There are groups of people who make sure the Centre is doing a good job and that we are working toward our goal of better health care for people with intellectual disability in Australia.
The people in these groups have lots of experience working with people with intellectual disability.
