Supporting people with intellectual disability living with dementia: Experiences of health, disability, and aged care workers
Researchers from the National Centre of Excellence in Intellectual Disability Health at UNSW Sydney have launched a new research project focused on supporting people with intellectual disability living with dementia. The project, led by Dr Rachael Cvejic, is funded by the Dementia Australia Research Foundation and Bartle Pathway to Care.
The research team is currently inviting health, disability and aged care workers to take part in a one-off anonymous online survey about their experiences of supporting people with intellectual disability living with dementia. The survey takes about 25 minutes to complete.
Inclusion criteria for participants taking part in this study include:
- Being aged 18+ years old
- Having experience providing care to or supporting people with intellectual disability living with dementia while working in a paid role within the Australian health, disability or aged care sectors
Exclusion criteria for those who are not eligible to participate in the study include:
- Participants that do not meet the above criteria.
Find out more in the participant information sheet and consent form. The link at the end of the consent form will take you to the survey.
