I’m Eileen and I’m a member of the Council for the Centre.
I’m a professor emerita of criminology at the University of New South Wales. This means that I have now retired from teaching at the university.
I have worked with people with intellectual disability, including First Nations people with intellectual disability, for a long time.
In 2021, I was awarded an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) to recognise my work and achievements.
The National Centre of Excellence in Intellectual Disability Health recognises and respects the Traditional Custodians of Country across Australia.
