Yona Lunsky
I’m Yona, and I’m a member of the International Advisory Committee for the Centre.
I run a health care research program about intellectual disability at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), in Toronto in Canada.
I’m also a professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto where I help teach future doctors how to work with people with disabilities. I’ve been doing research about health and intellectual disability for more than 25 years, and I work closely with self-advocates, families, and people who work in health care to figure out how to make health care better.
