Capacity building in healthcare

We know that people with intellectual disability don’t always get the best healthcare possible. A lot of people have researched ways to help healthcare workers provide better healthcare to people with intellectual disability.

We are doing this project so we can look at what everyone has done, describe what has been tried and whether they checked to see if it worked.

The main outcome of this project will be a report which describes all the information we find about the best capacity building approaches that people have tried.

The report will tell people:

  • What research we looked at
  • How we found it
  • What approaches of building capacity exist
  • Whether people checked to see if they worked
  • How they checked to see if it worked
  • And if they checked if it worked, did it work well?
