Using the NDDA to learn more about intellectual disability and health

We are using the National Disability Data Asset (NDDA) to learn more about intellectual disability and health.

We want to understand health outcomes, service use, and costs for people with intellectual disability.

We will use the Person-Level Integrated Data Asset (PLIDA) and National Health Data Hub (NHDA) to identify people with intellectual disability. Then we will include the National Disability Data Asset (NDDA).

This will help us develop a proposal to analyse data about intellectual disability and health.

This project will establish us as a leader in using national data assets.

Project timeline: September 2025 to June 2026

Project team: This project is led by Associate Professor Preeyaporn Srasuebkul and Associate Professor Zoe Aitken. Others working on the project include Professor Helen Leonard, Professor Anne Kavanagh, Professor Jenny Downs and Associate Professor Mary-Ann O’Donovan.
