I’m Rebecca, and I’m a member of the National Advisory Committee for the Centre.
I worked as an environmental scientist and have degrees in science and economics and a PhD in environmental modelling.
I also started my own research company and gave evidence about people’s experiences in the medical system at the Disability Royal Commission public hearing on intellectual disability and medical neglect held in 2020.
As a parent-advocate I participated in the development of the roadmap for improving the health of people with intellectual disabilities. I was appointed as the Chair of Down Syndrome Australia in 2023.
