I’m Trudy, and I’m a member of the National Advisory Committee for the Centre.
I trained as a dentist and have extra training in special needs dentistry. I’ve helped provided oral health care to people with a range of disabilities, complex medical conditions and other circumstances (for example, homelessness, people who have experienced domestic violence).
I’m also involved in the education of dental professionals in special needs dentistry through lecturing and workshops, and my role on the Board of Studies Special Needs Dentistry for the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. I completed research about improving access to oral healthcare for people with disability.
