Hello, I am Cathy. I am a Psychiatrist and the Director of the Queensland Centre of Excellence in Intellectual Disability and Autism Health (QCEIDAH, pronounced “cue-say-dah”).
The Queensland Centre is one of the consortium partners of the Centre. The Queensland Centre has an outpatient clinic and provides education and specialised clinical support to Queensland Mental Health Services. We also do research across primary care and hospital care in the physical and mental health of people with intellectual disability.
My job at the Centre is to lead the Queensland Centre and oversee our involvement and work for the Centre.
I live in Brisbane with my husband and children. I have 9 nieces and nephews. One of them has Down syndrome and was born deaf.
